I would say I am going for a vintage road race look if that makes any sense. I want to stuff wide tires under the car, front and rear. That's what I think is the problem for me, nothing really flows with the ghia lines. (Which isn't outrageous, but I better be sure I like them.) I could find one locally and I'd have a few hundred in getting 4 fenders shipped here. It's going to be real tough to know if you like them or not until after they're body worked. It looked like it had some kind of bolt on plastic flares. I think it's somewhere in the post your ghia thread. Have you seen the pic of the blue road race ghia on here. Might give you a little better idea of how they will look. Do you have the tires you're going to run as well. The flare looks a little too severe to me. Maybe slap some black primer on to get a better look. BUT I honestly haven't seen too many done all that great, and most don't really enhance the curves of the ghia.īut that's not to say it can't be done.here's one that I've found that I think did it well.the paint scheme and body style is not my cup of tea.but if you look just at the fenders, I think it actually looks pretty good. Personally, I think flared fenders can look good when done right, and with enough subtlety. Without much to go on, I'd say stop now before it's too late.but what do i know? It probably depends on what overall look you're going for to know if you're going in the right direction or not. Just because it didn't come that way, doesn't mean it shouldn't have.
